My Role: UX Researcher | UX/UI Designer

Timeline: 3 weeks

Team: Joi Addison | Nandhini Sivadasan | Yenwen Kuo

Tools:

A local non-profit organization dedicated to helping women students assert their legal rights to equitable treatment and equal opportunities in the education system by providing FREE legal advice.

The design of the website does not clearly convey the mission and the services of the organization.

PROBLEM

Created a visually appealing design to improve the user experience, deliver a clear message, and increase donations.

SOLUTION

DESIGN PROCESS OVERVIEW

Stakeholder Interview

Interview Highlights

  • Atlanta Women for Equality is run by the founder herself ONLY and one intern.
  • Better way for people to submit requests on the service.
  • Create a direct way to receive donations.
  • Likes the Art Deco & Art Nouveau aesthetic.

We want to understand why and how people choose to volunteer and donate to a non-profit organization, so we conducted surveys and user interviews with the general population to uncover insights.

People volunteer and donate because the cause personally impacts them.

Prefer to receive updates via emails and Instagram.

Like seeing annual reports and testimonials on the website for the organization's credibility.
